Ashley and Jordan celebrated their marriage with a Lake Quivira Country Club Wedding this Fall. Their day was full of so much joy and gorgeous details– just wait until you see Ashley’s gown.
I love a bride who can rock her own glam! You go girl. 😉
The below images are super special, not only because this is Ashley’s mom helping her prep for her big day, but also because the STUNNING beaded gown Ashley wore was made by her momma! She hand beaded each crystal onto Ashley’s dress over the course of an entire year! Talk about a labor of love. Her gown is stunning. Just wait until you see it glitter on the dance floor. Yowza.
Jordan has a signature look too – his flip flops!! While he didn’t wear them for the ceremony, apparently this is his footwear of choice 95% of life. Winter included. You do you, boo!
Ashley’s flowers were to DIE for. I definitely included one too many detail shots of their florals, but I don’t even feel bad about it! It’s always a pleasure to work with such talented vendors like Good Earth Floral. P.S. They recently launched a sister company called The Flower Market that does stunning work as well. If you’re a KC bride, I highly recommend them both!
Ashley and Jordan’s ceremony couldn’t have been more perfect. It was right on the water on a 70 degree day, with a light breeze and overcast skies.
The first time a bride and groom face their friends and family as man and wife is an incredibly powerful moment. The joy they felt is tangible.
Prepare yourself. It might not have been crazy golden hour in real life, but when I first met with Ashley she made sure to tell me that she loved that glowing look. When we woke up on this Fall Saturday to find a cloudy forecast, I knew I had to macgyver a sunset. So darn it, that’s what we did. I’m not normally one in favor of manipulating reality, but theeeese made me happy. 🙂
These two had the most gorgeous (and comical) reception. Their families are awesome!
The dads gave a welcome speech. That loooooong paper dangling from Ashley’s dad’s clutches is the speech… or so they joked!
This. This part had everyone rolling. After all of the toasts were given, Jordan’s momma had one last thing to say. Cherri gave this sweet little demonstration in which she first had Jordan put his right hand on the table, and then Ashley place her left on top, and finally, Jordan placed his left hand on top. Cherri wanted Jordan to really soak in the moment because she wanted to assure her son that this was the last time he would ever have the upper hand with Ashley. Hah! 😛
Ashley + Jordan,
I had such a great time with you and your sweet families! Your Lake Quivira Country Club Wedding was absolutely gorgeous! I wish you all the best in your future together, and want to thank you so so much for having me on such a special day in your lives!
