Ethan and Emma celebrated their beautiful winter wedding day at The Elms Hotel and Spa in Excelsior Springs, MO. This historic venue was the perfect setting for their Winter Gatsby inspired wedding! Getting Ready

One thing you will notice is these girls are no stranger to silliness. They were such a fun family to hang out with for the day!

These guys weren’t die hard fans or anything… hahah, you should have heard their cheers at the reception. The basketball Gods even blessed Ethan with a Marquette game while he got ready for his big day.

I have a soft spot for the photos below. Getting ready is always my favorite part of the day, but I’m from a family of all girls too. Seeing Emma with her sisters as they each helped her get ready for the day was so special.

The ambiance of a winter wedding at this historic venue in front of this big stone fireplace was so gorgeous.

I love it when both parents walk a bride down the aisle. 🙂

^ These two didn’t plan to sit to exchange their vows, but Emma felt like that might be the best course of action considering how overwhelmed by the magnitude of the moment she was. I kind of like it! Plus, it allowed for the candles on the mantle to really frame these two and adds a dramatic glow. So thanks for the compositional assistance, Em!  I couldn’t resist snapping this pic of the dads and their babies outside of the ceremony room. How sweet is this?!
