Back in high school, Emily and I were acquaintances through a mutual friend, one of my past brides, Lorraine. I was thrilled when Emily sent me an email inquiring about having me shoot her wedding. Emily is one of the most passionate, morally sound girls I’ve met – something I could tell just with a few interactions at age 15. I was so excited to catch up with what she’s up to and I knew if she were getting married, he’d be a hell of a guy. Clay did not disappoint! He treats Emily like a queen and was so considerate of me on a day that is not at all about me! Their bridal party was just as fantastic and did not lack personality. It was such a fun group of truly genuine individuals to spend the day with. Getting to know their families only added insight to how these two became such awesome people!
Thank you two for including me in celebrating your marriage!
I loved this shot of the bridesmaids hanging Emily’s dress in the living room!
Emily had such a peaceful, regal air about her all day. She was truly a glowing bride. She was giving me some serious British Royal vibes.
Emily’s wedding band has such delicate intricacies!
The weather was absolutely perfect for a wedding day.A minor snafu where dress meets door hinge 🙂
St. Charles has a beautiful window well that allowed for some beautiful dramatic altar shots!
Where better to take a regal bride and her ladies than to Kansas City’s own palace of sorts?
I love this shot of Clay!
The men channeling their inner sass. hehe
Such a stunning dress!!
Emily and Clay’s wedding was so great! Almost everyone made it to the dance floor at one point or another!
Emily and Clay, it was so special to be a part of your day! I can’t thank you enough for treating me like I was an extension of the family! You two are so great together and united two amazing families! Congratulations!
