This title should actually read: What to buy the Fashionable Traveler who is quality-centric and an aspiring minimalist: i.e. girls who live intentionally. These aren’t the generic nasty gifts (the Bath and Body Works Gift Set of sugary misery) everyone ends up shoving in the ‘re-gift’ tub. They’re thoughtfully curated through a variety of price ranges and interests and they have a few things in common~
They are all:
– quality
– practical
– aesthetically pleasing
&
– promote LIVING
2017 has brought me a new found appreciation for fewer things, a greater number of memories, and thus a bigger life. I wanted to share some of the gifts I plan to give, and all of which I would love to receive. I know at least in the case of my family, they want to be supportive but don’t live the same lifestyle and aren’t sure what would be most helpful, SO I though I’d give you an insider’s list of what the fashionable, travel girls of the world would REALLY love… and actually USE.
Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Idk about you, but I can’t go anywhere without running into a battery life crisis. It sounds melodramatic, but it’s just the plain truth. Especially if you use it for navigation, there’s no chance your phone is lasting all day. Queue the most beautiful powerbank courtesy of Rebecca Minkoff. Stylish bag tassel by day, life saver… always.

These little babies are life SAVERS. For obvious reasons, my paranoid, Scorpio self truly rests easier knowing that all of my important shit is tagged and GPS-able. (or at least after Christmas, I will 😛 *wink, wink, mom* ) Especially if you’re a solo traveler, you can never be too safe. The Tile Mate tags aren’t just for when you lose things, they’re also for when you want to triple check that something’s actually where you think it is and your bags are in fact in transit. It’s like Find My Friends 2.0 except when we say friends, we mean techie valuables and connection to the outside world.

These cameras are so much fun! They print mini-polaroid style pictures immediately after you take the photo. The cameras come in all different colors and you can purchase different films as well! Be sure to snag some film to include with your gift.

This is the cream of the crop when it comes to mirrorless digital cameras. It’s what I carry on a daily basis as my personal camera, but it is so powerful I also shoot wedding videos on it. It shoots 4k, is light as a feather, features retro styling and a ton of amazing features like wireless trigger and photo transfer, panoramas, built in film effects, double exposures, the list goes on. I recommend this camera to someone who isn’t a novice, understands more than basic camera functions, and is looking for high quality images in a tiny package. This little guy packs a punch!

Packing Cubes are a way of life. Truly. It’s so easy for your suitcase to turn into one giant churn, simply because you can’t find anything and there’s no easy way to move things in and out. Meet your new besties. Organize by category, by outfit, or by clean/dirty. Moving the cubes in and out keeps everything beautifully contained, and I’m convinced you can actually fit more. 😈

This bag is amazing for everyday use AND travel! (I love it so much I devoted an entire post to its amazingness HERE) It’s fully padded on the inside and looks like anything but a camera bag from the outside.

This is the mother of quality bags. Ona are masters of beautiful bags, and their Brixton does NOT disappoint! The interior is super lush, padded with multiple configuration options, and the Brixton has the perfect number and placement of accessible pockets on the front, sides, and back. The styling is classic, but the Italian leather is a bit distressed, adding so much personality. I would hands down say it’s the best bag I’ve ever bought, and I get compliments on it but just about everyone who sees (or feels) it. I shoot portrait sessions with it, but I also use it as a briefcase/backpack on the daily, as it fits my 15″ MacBook Pro with plenty of room to spare. This bag is a timeless investment and is well worth the money.

I love the vinta backpack-style bag for adventurous shooting. It’s nicely styled and comes in a few different color options providing a seamless blend between style and functionality. They also just opened the kickstarter for the black and gold version… All the heart eyes.

What if the hot water goes out? What if you have a little too much fun and don’t have time to wash your hair in the morning before your next event? This sorcery is about to resurrect your hair. Can I also mention that it smells beyond amazing? It’s incredibly luxurious. Get some for yourself while you’re at it, I’m serious.

This stuff is magical, especially because it’s instant. When traveling, we don’t always have access to dryers to fluff or irons to plug in. Wrinkle spray is a must, and it comes in a little baby travel size bottle that you can snag as a perfect stocking stuffer.

The joys of cordless, uninterrupted sound. 🙂 Some thoughts on wireless headphones:
1) they’re yet another thing to remember to charge, although their battery life is arguably great
2) the new iphones don’t have a headphone jack anyway so unless you want to keep track of a dongle and sacrifice battery life, what other choice do we have?
These come in a variety of colors.

^^ These are the BEST because they’re so quality, incognito, and don’t mess up a good hair day. Sorry to be basic for a second, but it’s just actually a factor in the decision making process. I was worried these would either 1) make my ears tired (you know exactly what I mean) or 2) they would fall out. NEITHER HAPPENS, and they’re an amazing investment. They also come with a travel case, which I think helps me keep track of them.
