Classic Kansas City Engagement Photos

The interesting part about photographing relationships is that they all work for different reasons. Some love is quiet, reserved, calm; some volatile, dramatic, passionate; and still some is content, peaceful, giddy. Each fits in a way that’s only understood upon meeting and knowing the two who comprise it. I’m certain I’ve not seen a love like this one. They are beautifully, joyfully, drunk in love; in the most honest and affectionate of ways. Catherine and Brett never stopped laughing, but if they did it was only to have the most sincere embrace. I can’t imagine their energy does not ooze from these photos. They could get married in a carboard box, and I’d be ecstatic for the big day next summer. Their love is one of a kind; the kind you wish upon your best friend. Intoxicating joy. It’s cool. Go look at them and probably hate them cuz you ain’t them. Kidding. Peace and love only. 😜

Catherine + Brett,

You two are so much fun to be around! My mouth was tired from smiling so much after hanging out with you two, and that’s not normally an issue on my side of the camera! Thank you for being amazing and loving each other with such unbridled joy, and for being so free and relaxed in front of my lens. I am so excited for your wedding, but more importantly, your future that’s destined to be packed with joy and smile wrinkles. 🙂
