Lauren + Brent

Let me tell you a little story about these two, to give you a quick little snapshot of their energy and personalities. First of all, I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much in getting to know a couple over a phone call. Brent has the kind of self deprecating, contagiously positive energy that would make anyone comfortable, and Lauren is the sweetest most bubbly compliment to his fun-loving nature.

They’re just the kind of people you want to be around. They happened to have a friend who is a lovely talented photographer, who shot their engagement photos. Typically, in this scenario, I like to at least meet up with my couples for dinner so that their first experience with me isn’t on their wedding day. When I suggested that, Brent was all about it. He immediately offered up their newly renovated apartment and wanted to host me! I came over one night a few weeks later. Lauren had made a delicious meal and we sat in their new space having that ideal kind of conversation- the kind that’s a mix of laughter, ideas, and curious topics. I left their place that night feeling so energized by their dynamic. They lead with their faith and it reminded me how beautiful every relationship is; that God designs the most perfect pairs. I felt truly honored and excited to be documenting the start of their life together.

 

Their wedding did not disappoint. It was full of more heart-felt bear hugs than I’ve ever seen, tons of laughter, and beautiful people. I hope you enjoy their photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!
