Mandy and Adam are some pretty darn cool people! So cool in fact, they’ve already moved to Hawaii post-wedding. You know, to keep things fresh and lively and embrace the adventure of starting a new life together. Their common interest and embracing the spontaneity of life is just the tip of the iceberg with these two. Spending time with them, documenting their day only clarified to me that they truly love each other and didn’t really care how perfect or imperfect silly little wedding details were. (Mandy and Adam spent an incredible amount of time creating all of the decor, and even built the statement pieces for their ceremony in the meadow.) Their focus was their love for each other and celebrating that with their friends and family!
Let’s start with the rings, because you can never feast your eyes on too much bling. 😉 At least, that’s my motto!
Mandy’s dress was gorgeous!! Wait ’til you see the back once she has it on. Top notch!
These flowers were such a great representation of Mandy’s spirit! They were beautiful and colorful and free-spirited! Rough analogy? Whatever, I mean it!!
Adam and the guys were so easy going! This was one of my favorite shots of him getting ready!
Mandy made him such a sweet wedding gift that was a collection of little notes and some of their favorite memories together.
These girlies were so fun! Full of jokes and silliness.
Adam made Mandy a map for them to track their married adventures on. I loved the idea!
Mandy had some special moments with her momma. 🙂
What a stunning bride!!! Oh yeah, and here’s the back of her dress I was telling you about!
Loved this first look! Adam built those doors for the ceremony entrance!
At first we were disappointed this creek wasn’t full of water, but what a cool opportunity to take some images on the stones!
Such a fun and casual group shot!
Alert!! Passion Fruit Wedding Cake = DELICIOUSNESS.
One of the coolest things about a wedding at Prairiewood Retreat in Manhattan, is this AMAZING bluff they have behind the house everyone got ready in. I swear you could see for miles!! I never realized Kansas had such pretty bluffs! Holy Smokes!!
I was so glad Mandy was up for the hike to the top, because these just may be some of my favorite sunset photos! I shouldn’t be surprised though- they’re so adventurous and open to life!
These two were quite the dancers!!
For generations, all of the men in Mandy’s family have worn these shoes at their wedding. Obviously Mandy is a girl, and had much prettier shoes to wear, so they put them on her dad. The family shoes walked her down the aisle to Adam. I was so excited to hear this story, as told by her brothers at the reception. Each wedding has such preciously personal details!
Thank you so much, Adam and Mandy, for trusting me to capture such a special day in your life! As winter approaches here in the midwest, I think you may have the right idea in heading to Hawaii. You may find a visitor on your doorstep come January! 😉 Just kidding, but in all sincerity, I am so grateful to have met you both and wish you a lifetime of love and adventure!!
