All wedding events and celebrations will take place at Grand Palladium, Costa Mujeres, MX. We are working with Lindsay Smith and her team at L&S Travel to organize everything. All booking should go through L&S Travel to ensure you get the group rate, are part of the room block, and are able to access all of our special events.
Please trust that we've worked hard to coordinate everything with the resort to ensure the best experience for the group at the best rate possible. Rates online won't reflect our group conveniences or wedding events and if you book any other hotel, you will have to pay for a pass to come to this property. If you do not stay at this property the resort will charge you to attend our wedding- DON'T do that!
If you book outside the group block you will also be charged by the resort to attend the wedding.

what's the plan ?
a weekend in paradise
We intend for you to have a blast!
Below are the events we have planned:

Sunday 29th - informal pool/beach day
Monday 30th - Memorial Day (Jake & Felicia fly home this day)
*All group events will be on the Grand Palladium side so that all guests are able to participate.
We have arranged for special group rates starting at 3 - night packages with pro-rated add-on days available. You are welcome to come for a portion of the events or extend your stay before or after our Wedding Day.
We'll have an itinerary for you as we get closer so you'll know exactly when and where things are happening.
what's the difference in the resorts/sides ?
Family vs. Adults only
ALL events will be accessible to everyone, taking place on the Grand Palladium side. The two resorts blend into each other with sidewalks and share the channel system with taxi boats. There is not a huge separation, just adults only pools and rooms on the TRS side.
Grand Palladium is the side of the resort that can accommodate families, but anyone can stay there. It is the most affordable.
TRS is more of a luxury adults only dining and lodging experience.
Grand Palladium guests are not allowed on the TRS side.
what about airfare ?
we'll fly into Cancun
The airport we will be flying into is the Cancun International Airport (CUN)
You can book your air travel yourself OR ask L & S Travel to provide airfare rates for your consideration.
Often L & S Travel can get a better airfare rate than what you find. Ask your L & S Travel Consultant for an airfare rate. Compare the rate with what you found in your search. Then, decide if you are booking your own airfare or booking the L &S Travel quoted rate.
NOTE: L & S Travel quotes airfare rates that guarantee flight confirmed seats and the allowance of a carry-on bag.
Regardless of who books the flight, a shuttle (transfer) is included in your room booking with the group so you already have a ride to and from the airport! The resort is about 45 minutes from Cancun airport.
** If you choose to book your own flights, you will need to provide L&S with your flight information no later than March 23, 2022 so they can guarantee your transfers, which are included in your reservation.
HOW does booking work ?
L&S Travel will take care of everything
Lindsay and her team are professionals and will handle everything. Once you select your room above, you'll click the book button and be directed to the L&S Travel website to complete a form. Once you submit the form you will be emailed within 2 business days to confirm your booking. The payment link will be sent to you during business hours after you submit your room reservation. Your room is not reserved until your payment is completed.
***They will need your passport information to book your travel.
To reserve your room at these special rates, within our room block, you will need to complete the form with L&S Travel and place a $100 deposit per person no later than June 1st, 2021. This amount goes toward your total bill, which is not due upfront.
Guests will be able to join the room block after June 1st, 2021, but you will be subject to the current booking rates at the time of booking and will not have secured the group rate savings.
Your final payment will be due Tuesday, January 11th, 2022. If this deadline is missed, you will be charged a 10% late fee. You have 3 days to make your payment in full. If you do not complete the payment, your reservation will be auto-canceled and no funds will be returned.
If you cancel your reservation before January 11th, 2022 you will forfeit your room deposit, but not be required to pay the full balance of the room.

When is the Booking Deadline ?
June 1st, 2021
To guarantee the rates you see on this site, you MUST book through L&S by June 1st, 2021.
'Booking' means placing your $100 per person room deposit and committing to come celebrate with us!
We know it's well before the wedding, but the sooner we book, the better the rates. Considering many of you know that you're coming we wanted to extend the most savings possible to you.
If you're unable to decide at this stage, you will still be able to book through 2021. The rates are expected to increase the closer we get to the wedding date, so we strongly encourage you to reserve your room ASAP.
The room deposit is $100 per person.
It is crucial to book through L&S Travel regardless of when you decide to book. If you do not do this, the resort will charge you a fee to attend our wedding. The same goes for if you book your stay elsewhere and try to come to the resort for the events. Please book within our room block to avoid additional charges and headaches!!
WHY SHOULD I BOOK IN THE GROUP?
It's to your advantage to book your reservation as a group reservation.
• You save money.
• You can participate in wedding events for no additional fees.
Booking your reservation as part of the group is different from booking an independent reservation. Your reservation with the group not only saves you money, it provides you with the opportunity to participate in planned wedding events for no additional fees.
Before booking your reservation through another travel supplier or with the resort direct, contact L &S Travel to discuss the opportunity to price match what the travel supplier or resort has quoted.
To price match a rate, specific information must be provided. Your L & S Travel Consultant will inform you about what information you need to provide in order for L & S Travel to explore the price match opportunity.

Can you tell me about travel insurance?
It's up to you
Protect your investment by purchasing travel insurance.
Ask L & S Travel to provide an insurance rate and description of coverage for your review and consideration.
Travel is not cheap. Trip Insurance provides protection of your investment.
NOTE: The trip insurance rate is based upon travelers' birthdates, state of residence and total cost of the trip.
Trip Insurance through L&S is not required, but without it they are not responsible for unforeseeable circumstances if you don't purchase it. Without it you won't be entitled a refund no matter the circumstance of your cancellation.
If you cancel any time after January 11th, 2022 without having purchased trip insurance, you are still responsible for paying the remainder of your invoice.
Do we need a passport?
YES!!!!!
You will need a passport to travel to Mexico.
The passport must be valid for at least six (6) months from your intended date of travel. Double check this.
If your passport is due to expire before you travel, you will need to renew your Passport. Failure to do so may prevent you from traveling or entering back into the States.

nope! This is the one & only
This will be our official wedding celebration. Part of why we chose this resort is because there is a beautiful Catholic chapel on property, which means this will be our real wedding day. We hope that you'll be able to join us, but we understand that traveling won't be possible for everyone - know that you'll be missed!
Both moms plan to host a shower in each home town (KC & SLC)

We know that asking you to travel to a foreign country to celebrate our wedding is a big deal! The destination wedding etiquette is to forego wedding gifts in light of the travel required to attend.

What do we need to bring ?
It's a vacation!
You'll need:
- A valid passport
- beach/pool wear
- nice attire for dinners in the restaurants (all dining is included)
- formal beach attire for the wedding (weather appropriate dress for women, button-up shirt and pants for men- coats are welcome but not required)
- athletic wear if you wish to visit the gym
* The wedding day will not take place on sand. The chapel is air conditioned and the reception will be al fresco.
