Nothing can stop love! Chris and Will originally planned to celebrate their wedding with friends and family at the new downtown KC venue, The Bardot, but just two days before they were set to exchange vows and say ‘I do’, the government mandates limiting gatherings of 10 or more people were put in place. These two were not interested in postponing saying ‘yes’ that Saturday, so they began to brainstorm new ideas. Ultimately, the two came to the difficult decision to only invite a few friends over to their home to exchange vows in their living room. Both Chris and Will’s families live out of town and the health and well-being of their loved ones was a top priority. Although the families couldn’t be there physically, each of them dressed up in their wedding attire and tuned in via FaceTime!
The day was nothing like Will and Chris had been envisioning for the past year, but the intimacy and specialness that the 7 of us (and the virtual families) shared that day was unrivaled. Their choice demonstrated that LOVE truly does conquer all. <3
I’m super excited to document the original wedding as planned next year, but for now, check out their amazing wedding at home. 🙂
Chris & Will,
Thank you so much for welcoming me into such a precious day. I’m so excited for round two next Spring!
